CHRIST the REDEEMER
By *Divine Mother Starlight Devi
Lord Jesus was called, ‘The Christ,’ because he had Unconditional Love for others. To be ‘Christed,’ means to be anointed and anyone who reaches the spiritual level whereby they have Unconditional Love for others, which would be Lord Krishna (Krishna means Christ), Avatars, and Saints like Francis of Assisi, are just a few examples. Therefore, when we talk about Christ being ‘the way,’ we mean that ‘the way’ is via Unconditional Love and the heart chakra, not necessarily through a particular person, although such development will be far quicker with the help of a spiritual teacher who has already reached that level.
Lord Jesus is also called, ‘The Redeemer,’ which means to save, free, liberate etc., but we liberate ourselves from re-birth by becoming a vehicle for Unconditional Love, although again, a teacher will speed our ascent. And Christians used to believe in reincarnation until Emperor Justinian threw it out for political reasons, whilst Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and other faiths still accept it.
In the Christian church, Lord Jesus is given the highest reverence, as is only right but this should not be to the exclusion of others. In fact, by making Lord Jesus the only vehicle for redemption and Eternal Life, one is effectively blocking the progress of others, yet Lord Jesus himself said that what he could do, all men could do, ‘yea greater things than these shall you all do.’ All religions speak of Love, Forgiveness, Mercy, Kindness and Respect. It doesn’t matter which religion we follow (or none at all), as long as we genuinely exhibit these qualities and accept that we are all G-d’s children, and remember that Christ is truly the Redeemer because it is Unconditional Love that redeems us all.
*Divine Mother Starlight Devi is the reincarnation of St. Cecilia whose body lies incorrupt in her church in Trastevere.
