Life is not either/or.
You do not have one choice or two.
You have many-petaled choices.
When you were a child, you took a daisy, and you said with each petal, "He loves me, he loves me not."
You left out other possibilities, that he likes you, that he makes you happy, that you like him and you make him happy.
Life is many-layered and not so abrupt as "He loves me, he loves me not."
Life is much more than one way and not another.
Today you have more than two choices. You may have thought only so far as happy or unhappy. Coins may be limited to two sides, but life is more. It is not a question of life or death, is it?
I am not even speaking of a scale of happiness with gradations in between. I mean different choices altogether. Get away from either/or, beloveds, get away. The choices are infinite. Don't close out your choices. There is a lot to choose from.
Perhaps you have really thought only in terms of happy or unhappy. Then you are giving yourself only the flip of a coin. Life is worth so much more than a toss-up.
If life is a box you open, you can think of more than two things that might be in it. Infinite are the possibilities. Even the size of the box could fool you. A huge box could contain something little in size. A tiny box is not limited either. It could contain a gift certificate for a big item. It could contain a deed to a house!
Either/or puts you in a bind.
You have heard it before. There is a whole world out there. And there is also a whole world within you. Don't cut yourself short. You and life are both for unlimited possibilities. There are far-distant shores, and you can explore them. There are galaxies out there. There are galaxies within you. There isn't anything that is not within you.
Everything but the past is yours. Cast out the past, for it has no place with you now. The past had its limitations. It is not to limit you. The shoes of the past no longer fit. You outgrew them long ago. Catch up to the idea that you are a viable vibrant Being with limitless potential, and that means unlimited choices.
If you are a book, all the chapters have not yet been written. In that sense, you are an open book.
If you are an airline, you have flights everywhere. You even have destinations that you didn't have yesterday. And tomorrow you may well have more.
If you are a Human Being, the sky is not your limit.
