We have just overhauled our events system on the TheSpiritGuides.co.uk website to make it much easier for people to find events within their chosen interest group. And also if your an event organisers, the site is now much more friendlier to post events from where ever you are and be noticed.
Many event organisers from the south-east of the UK have benefited from a large amount of traffic coming into their local region to view events, mainly because this is where the site first started, so these areas built up a big following.
However, with our new Event System going live, everybody from all around the world and other parts of the UK can now benefit with the same high levels of traffic. The reason? We now have all event categories displayed on all our home and event pages, giving the user a bird’s eye view of all events by category. With 26,000+ people visiting last month across all regions, everybody has the potential for a bigger slice of the traffic. This figure is set to rise quite drastically with our advertising campaigns bringing thousands of more visitors in to the site from places such as Australia, Europe, America, India and more.
Our goal this year is to be the best place to go to for spiritual events no matter where your located in the world. Our new Facebook group is bringing in thousands of new people into the site every week and as they share the site with their friends it’s starting to grow rapidly. We had an average of 26,000 Visitors per month in December, but now we are on course to smash that number going forward.
It’s still free to post events on the site, as we feel it’s important to not exclude anybody. However for those who host events professionally you can now take advantage of our upgrade packages to ensure your events are syndicated to even more places, even arriving directly into people’s email boxes on a weekly basis and our other networks.
We’re now getting serious about helping promote your events so any support taken up by upgrading will help us invest in better ways to help you and allow us to introduce more exciting features this year.
Up and until now we have been working as volunteers in our increasingly sparse spare time to make the site work, but with our outgoings eclipsing what’s coming in, we have no option but to move to a more professional operating model to stay on the web.
